Popular Afrobeats singer Davido has responded to the news that his father, Adedeji Adeleke, has made a significant donation of N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church's Centenary Fund.
The substantial tribute was presented on Sunday during a memory service for Adedeji Adeleke's late mother, Esther Adeleke, at the church's headquarters in Lagos.
The endowment fund, established as part of the centenary festivities, aims to support the church's current and future endeavors.
Davido took to social media to express his respect for his father's philanthropic initiatives, particularly those involving religious organizations and education.
Commenting on a viral video of the event shared by social media influencer Tunde Ednut, the singer wrote: “Anything Church or education, no worry, you don cash out.”
Davido also took to his Instagram story to further express his pride and appreciation. He wrote: “My dear father inspires me every day! Love this man right here.”
The donation has since sparked waves of discussions on social media.
