Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky has praised Nigerian artiste Davido and consoled him after he failed to win at the 66th Grammy Awards.
Davido lost to South African artist Tyla, Indian artist Shakti, and the American trio Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer, Zakir Hussain, and Rakesh Chaurasia, despite being nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best World Music Album, Best Dance Recording, and Best Music Video.
Bobrisky, known for his powerful and controversial lifestyle on social media, took to his Instagram page to declare his undying support for Davido.
In a poignant post, he informed the musician that his value in the worldwide music scene goes beyond any prize or validation.
Bobrisky wrote: I’m super proud of you, David. I’m your biggest fan, and I’m sure your lawyer Prince tells you this always. You are too big to fail.
You’ve passed that level. You are a world star, and nothing beats that. Grammy or no Grammy, we love your music, and we won’t stop listening to it.”
However, following Davido's Grammy defeat, netizens are lashing out at his attorney, Prince Bobo, for his actions leading up to the 66th Grammys, which allegedly affected the music star's chances of winning an award.
Fans of the musician launched a flood of wrath on social media, condemning Bobo for his ill-timed Instagram post.
However, the ‘Unavailable’ crooner took to his X handle early Monday to express his joy, despite losing out on all three nominations.
“Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring!”
