The Saudi Arabia Professional Football League has named Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo to their Team of the Season.
On June 7, the Saudi League football association presented the Best X1 of the 2022–23 campaign.
Ighalo, 33, scored 19 goals for Al Hilal, who lost their title as league champions to Al Ittihad.
He was the only member of the Al Hilal team to make the list, and he did so after helping Al Hilal win the championship the previous year.
Ighalo scored 24 goals in the previous campaign. After his contract expired, he already left the team.
