The ex-Governor of Lagos State urged Muslim families across the nation to foster the creation of ideal and peaceful homes, emphasizing their pivotal role in nurturing a harmonious society.
“The significance of raising children with strong moral values cannot be overstated. The greater the number of virtuous individuals in our society, the more goodness will triumph,” he asserted.
He stressed the shared duty of parents and guardians to instill positive values in their children, in accordance with Islamic principles and the essence of Ramadan.
“We must all embrace the duty of parenting, following the values and virtues of Islam and the principles of peaceful and joyful coexistence embodied by Ramadan,” he declared.
Among those honored at the event were Fashola, the mother of Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaja Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila, and Chairman of Island Club, Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa, who were recognized and designated as patrons of the association for their remarkable contributions to the community and the promotion of Islamic values.
The National President of MAN, Prof. Dhikrullah YagboYaju emphasized the direct link between peace within individual homes and overall national peace. “If our families are peaceful, our society will surely be at peace,” he asserted, noting that a stable home is a fundamental value of Islam and crucial for a stable society.
He urged families to adopt the teachings of Islam and cultivate environments filled with love and respect.
