The Chief Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has ordered that Omowunmi, the widowed wife of late musician Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba nicknamed Mohbad, be issued with notice of the pending DNA test application.
The legal team, led by Emmanuel Oroko, informed the court that the Sheriff of the Court had attempted twice to serve Wunmi with the court procedure but failed. He noted that if the process was served at her last known address, it would be considered good service and she would be aware of the pending lawsuit.
The Chief Magistrate then ordered that Wunmi should be served by posting the court process on her last known address. The new order by the court was contained in a statement signed by a member of the legal team to the Aloba family, Monoplane Odumosu.
Following the singer's death, many people have been calling for a DNA test on his kid, Liam, to determine his paternity. Even Mohbad's father had sought DNA testing on his kid, which Cynthia Morgan agreed with.
Omawunmi had urged her father-in-law to obtain a court order for a DNA test, but she then performed a U-turn, stating that she would not be doing a DNA test for her kid. Omowunmi stated that no one has the authority to tell her what to do, and that her kid will never be a victim like his father.
