Nigerian social media influencer and critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, who resumed court proceedings has been granted bail.
Recall that the Nigeria Police Force arraigned the social media critic on five counts bordering on cyberstalking.
The police prosecution moved to have the popular social media critic remanded in prison custody. Still, his lawyers, which includes Deji Adeyanju made an application for him to be kept in police custody.
The court granted their request and he was subsequently taken to the National Cybercrime Centre.
Deji Adeyanju also applied for bail but the prosecution team asked Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court for more time to respond, leading the court to adjourn the bail hearing to today, June 10.
Renowned celebrity blogger Tunde Ednut, a close associate of VeryDarkMan, who has been actively monitoring his legal battle, shared a pivotal update regarding the court hearing.
Sharing a video of VeryDarkMan alongside his legal counsel in high spirits at the court premises, Ednut disclosed that bail had been successfully secured for him.
He added that efforts are underway to fulfill the necessary conditions, and expressed confidence that VeryDarkMan will be back home once these arrangements are completed
Tunde Ednut wrote; “THIS MORNING: VeryDarkMan seen in court this morning. Bail has been granted to him and requirements arrangements are currently being made. He will be home once he finishes that.”
