The EHOAN Osun State chapter has urged residents to take preventive measures against the current cholera outbreak in some states in Nigeria.
They also advised people to report any suspected cases to the nearest healthcare facility.
The association emphasized the importance of adhering to precautionary measures, cooperating with Environmental Health Officers, and participating in community-wide sanitation activities to prevent cholera outbreaks.
They recommended drinking clean and safe water, avoiding food from street vendors, properly washing fruits and vegetables, and ensuring proper waste disposal as part of the preventive measures.
The EHOAN assured that environmental health officers will continue to educate the public to prevent the spread of the disease and called for collaboration with the state government to promote hygiene.
