Nigerian Supermodel, Chidimma Adetshina, a Miss South African contender, has entered the Miss Universe Nigeria competition as Taraba State's representative.
Chidimma was born in Soweto's Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in 2001. Her father is of Igbo heritage, and her mother is said to be a Mozambican naturalized citizen of South Africa.
Her participation in Miss South Africa sparked controversy due to questions regarding her nationality.
Following the scandal, which sparked an investigation by the South African Ministry of Home Affairs, Chidimma opted to withdraw from the competition. And accepted an invitation to compete in the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria Pageant.
Introducing her on Friday on its official site, the organizers of the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant announced that Chidimma will be competing as Miss Taraba as contestant number 25.
