Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is set to file a fresh suit challenging President Bola Tinubu's victory in the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.
The
former vice president secured an order for CSU to provide his legal team with Tinubu's academic records, including admission details, attendance dates, degrees, awards, and honours.

In response to the court order, Tinubu's legal team filed an application to review the decision made by Magistrate Jeffrey Gilbert, requesting that the release of privileged academic records be reconsidered by a district judge.
They argued that the academic records in question were not relevant to Nigerian courts and that Atiku's request was overly intrusive.
Atiku's legal team is now planning to file a motion to challenge Tinubu's plea and the delay of the order,
Punch reports.
They have up to 48 hours to respond to the motion in the US court. The motion will likely seek to counter Tinubu's arguments and emphasize the relevance of the academic records to the Nigerian election dispute.
His team has until midnight to submit their response to the court, after which the court will determine the next steps in the legal proceedings.
Babatunde Ogala, the Coordinator of Tinubu's Presidential Legal Team, declined to comment on the development, stating that he is on vacation.
