Four stars from the Super Falcons—Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, and Chiamaka Nnadozie—have been selected for the Best XI of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after Nigeria's impressive journey to secure their 10th continental title.
The Confederation of African Football's Women’s division announced the standout players of the tournament via their official X account on Sunday, stating, “The stars who shined the brightest. Meet your Best XI of the tournament.”
Ajibade, who played a key role throughout the event, was named Player of the Tournament and earned Woman of the Match honors in three of Nigeria’s six matches, showcasing her leadership and offensive talent.
Okoronkwo also made a significant impact, scoring two goals and providing four assists, which were crucial to Nigeria’s championship success.
Nnadozie received the Best Goalkeeper award for her four clean sheets, reinforcing her status as one of the continent's most reliable goalkeepers.
Defender Alozie participated in every minute of Nigeria’s matches and was recognized on the list, with her dramatic late goal against South Africa in the semi-finals being a highlight of the tournament.
