Grammy Award Winner and self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy becomes the highest-paid African artist in the US for an arena show.
Touring Data on X platform, reports: "I Told Them' Tour, which has already made $11,659,531 from 11 reported gigs out of 22 destinations, Burna Boy sold out the 19,000-capacity TD Arena Garden in Boston. It was a historic performance.
Burna Boy's historic achievement confirms his position as the most popular African artist in the world. Burna Boy has experienced unheard-of success for an African artist since making his breakthrough on the global stage in 2018 with his smash song "YE."
The only other Nigerian singer to have two Diamond hits in France is The African Giant, as he is often known, with "On The Low" and "Last Last."
Burna Boy also has the most Grammy nominations for a Nigerian artist. He also made history in February 2024 at the 66th Grammys when he became the first African artist to perform at the main ceremony.
