Nigerian Afrobeats star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has become the first African musician to reach two billion streams in the United Kingdom.
In appreciation of his achievement, the singer received a Brit plaque at his sold-out gig at Koko Camden in London on Monday night.
This comes only a few weeks after he was awarded a Brit 1 billion streaming plaque at his sold-out event at the London Stadium last month.
Burna Boy said that he campaigned for the Brit 2 billion streaming plaque.
He said, “Thank you very much. I appreciate you. Ehen, now that’s it. You’ve to fight for your right.”
One of the presenters inferred: “You already have it. You don’t need to fight.”
