Popular Nigerian singer and Afro-fusion star, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy is scheduled to perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The news was released early on Monday by the Recording Academy.
Chart-topping artists Travis Scott and Luke Combs will share the stage with the most acclaimed "African Giant" entertainer.
The post reads “Attention: African Giant @BurnaBoy will take the #GRAMMYs stage on Sunday, February 4th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS,”
This announcement adds Burna Boy to an already impressive lineup of performers, including popular artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa.
Notably, Burna Boy has not only secured a performance slot but has also received three Grammy nominations in different categories at the 66th Grammys.
The categories include Best Melodic Rap Performance for his track ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World,’ Best Global Music Performance for ‘Alone,’ and Best African Music Performance for ‘City Boys.’
The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will honor the best recordings, compositions, and artists from October 1, 2022, to September 15, 2023, as chosen by the members of The Recording Academy on February 4, 2024.
The Ceremony will be held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
