President Muhammadu Buhari and his family have relocated to the Glass House at the Presidential Villa in Abuja before Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, takes office.
First Lady Aisha Buhari revealed this as she showed the incoming first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, around the State House.
Aisha gave thorough explanations regarding the significance and history of each building at the state house. She disclosed that the departing president and their spouse had lived in the Glass House throughout the transition as a temporary residence.
It gives the outgoing president a symbolic and physical space, allowing the incoming president to completely assume power.
She said:
"I showed Senator Remi Tinubu, the incoming First Lady, around. She's seen the main home; right now, we're in the well-known glass house. For the departing president, Glass House serves as a temporary residence.
"I suggest that the Glass House continue to serve as the departing president's transitional home. I am currently residing here with my hubby while we speak to you. it's just the two of us here, and I believe that should continue to be the standard for the organization and house."
