The boards of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been excused from dissolution by President Bola Tinubu.
This occurs 24 hours after Tinubu gave his approval for the immediate dissolution of the governing boards of all parastatals, agencies, institutions, and government-owned businesses under the control of the Federal Government.
This is in the execution of his constitutional powers and in the public interest, according to a statement made by Willie Bassey, Director of Information for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) Boards, however, are exempt from such dissolution, the federal government stated in a statement today. "Further to the directive on the dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions, and Government-owned Companies," the statement continued.
