The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has increased the minimum wage for employees in the State from N40,000 to N70,000.
The governor disclosed this during the inauguration of the newly constructed state-of-the-art Labour House secretariat complex for labor unions in the State on Monday.
The complex is situated along Temboga Road, Ikpoba-Hill, Benin City, the capital of the State.
Obaseki said the new minimum wage in the state will take effect from May 1, 2024
