The scheduled release from prison of a social media influencer and crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been delayed.
Bobrisky's release date was originally scheduled for July 29, 2024, but has been postponed due to an apparent error in calculations.
Recall that the crossdresser was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12, 2024.
Fans excitedly awaited his release, only to be disappointed when fresh details emerged.
Tosin Silverdam, a content creator and social commentator, said that a miscalculation resulted in a reassessed release date.
Silverdam revealed that Bobrisky’s team, who arrived to collect him from prison, were informed of the error and a new release date has been set for Monday, August 5, 2024.
The update has been met with frustration from his supporters, who had already begun their celebrations over the anticipated release.
