The proposed statewide strike slated for Wednesday has been welcomed by the National Union of Electricity Employees, or NUEE.
Dominic Igwebike, the body's acting general secretary, advised the leaders of the organization at the national and state levels to begin mobilizing before the strike.
The request was made by Igwebike in a press release headlined "Mobilization for Nationwide withdrawal of services."
"Please note that nationwide service withdrawal begins at 0.00 hours on Wednesday, June 7, 2023," the message reads.
"You are urged to cooperate with the state executive council leadership in your respective states in order to have a successful activity."
