Ghana's Black Princesses staged a dramatic comeback victory over Nigeria's Falconets to clinch the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B U-17 Championship title.

The final, held at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday night, saw the hosts defy a one-goal deficit to emerge triumphant 2-1.

The Falconets struck first in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a misstep by Ghanaian goalkeeper Afi Amenyeku.

Loveth Edeh capitalized on the error to put the Nigerian side ahead. However, the Ghanaian team refused to be daunted.

They displayed remarkable resilience, battling back with a determined spirit.

Their efforts were rewarded with two unanswered goals. Tracey Twum equalized for the Black Princesses, restoring parity to the match.

Mukarama Abdulai then etched her name in the hearts of Ghanaian fans with the winning goal, securing the championship title for the home team.

Ghanaian coach Yussif Basigi beamed with pride after the thrilling victory. "I'm so proud of this team," he remarked, as quoted by CAFonline. "

We never stopped believing even when we went behind. To win a final like this in front of our home fans is an incredible feeling. These girls are champions in every sense of the word."

The Black Princesses' triumph is a testament to their fighting spirit and unwavering belief.

Their comeback victory serves as an inspiration for young footballers across the region, demonstrating the power of perseverance and determination on the field.
