Additionally, the emergency management chief of Florida issued a warning that the anticipated hurricane surges may be “unsurvivable.”
This warning is in response to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, a Category Four storm that struck the Gulf Coast less than two weeks ago.
The storm caused at least 225 fatalities in a variety of states, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina, which was the most severely affected.
