In the absence of a last-minute modification, the United Kingdom Court of Appeal will hear Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader,'s case.
On June 22, 2023, the court is slated to hear Kanu's appeal on his extraordinary rendition.
The court had initially determined that the appeal's basis created significant concerns.
Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu's special counsel, told media when the decision would be rendered.
Ejimakor states: "In an interim order, the court determined that the grounds of appeal present significant problems. On June 22, 2023, the appeal will be heard. Congratulations to Kanu's family and my colleagues, the Bindmans.”
The IPOB leader was detained in Kenya in June 2022 because to his pro-Biafra activism and was later charged with a crime.
The Nigerian government has refused to free Kanu, despite the fact that he was cleared and discharged by the courts.
