Burna Boy and Tems added another BET award to their award collection at the event that took place on Sunday in Los Angeles.
However, Asake missed out on the Viewers Choice for Best International Act Award, which was won by first-time nominee Libianca.

2Baba
Back in 2011, 2Baba secured the now-defunct BET Best International Act for Africa award. He won the award due to his remarkable contributions in the preceding year, particularly with the release of his highly successful album, 'The Unstoppable'.
D'banj
Also in 2011, D'banj emerged as the biggest artist in Africa, leading the global Afrobeats movement with his internationally successful single 'Oliver Twist'. This achievement earned him the 2011 BET Best International Act for Africa award, which he shared with 2Baba.
Ice Prince
In 2013, Ice Prince soared to the top of the African music industry with the release of his hit single 'Oleku' and his debut album, 'Everybody Loves Ice Prince'. As a result, he received the BET Best International Act for Africa award.
Davido
Following in the footsteps of 2Baba, D'banj, and Ice Prince, Davido secured the BET Best International Act award in 2014. This recognition came after a phenomenal year for the artist, marked by the release of popular hits like 'Aye' and 'Fans Mi'. Davido went on to win another BET award for Best International Act in 2018, thanks to his incredible streak of hits in 2017.
Falz
In 2016, Falz captivated audiences and claimed the viewers' choice for the Best New International Act award with his album 'Stories that Touch', which captivated listeners the previous year.
Wizkid

In 2023, Burna Boy attained his fourth Best International Act plaque, thanks to the immense success of his 2022 hit single, 'Last Last'.

In 2022, the renowned Nigerian female artist emerged victorious in the category of Best International Act, garnering recognition for her remarkable contributions to the music industry.
Her international fame soared through her collaborations on notable tracks such as Wizkid's 'Essence', Future's 'Wait For U', and her involvement in writing the Oscar-nominated soundtrack for 'Black Panther' titled 'Life Me Up'.
Furthermore, she continued her winning streak by clinching the Best Collaboration award in both 2022 and 2023 for her exceptional performances on 'Essence' and 'Wait For U' respectively.
