The fourth runner-up of Big Brother Naija Season 3, themed, 'Double Wahala', Nina Onyenobi, aka Nina Ivy, is one of many persons who have criticized the ongoing Season 9 of Big Brother Naija, also known as the 'No Loose Guard' edition, calling it "boring" and "colorless."
According to a previous Housemate who operates a hair care brand called Nina Hair Empire, Biggy must be knocking himself out and regretting what he got himself into because the group isn't pulling punches as hard as Biggy might have expected.
In a chat with Potpourri via WhatsApp, the former reality star gave her own perspective of the show, probably speaking the minds of many enthusiasts of the show who have not exactly been charmed by this current edition.
She told Potpourri, ”I think it’s not giving what Big Brother thought it would give. First of all, it’s very boring, I’m not so eager to watch the show unlike the others.
"He brought in a lot of mature people to this show in my opinion because there are many younger people out there who need this limelight more than anything and they would have made this show worth watching and fun.
"I even saw that he brought in a couple, what was he thinking? Mixture of young and old. Most of these housemates are trying so hard to give highlights. We need sexy, bad, bad girls and boys next time Biggie.
"I’m still waiting for the fun side; Big Brother comes with so many twists, so let’s wait and see.
"Since the show started two weeks ago, only women have been evicted, raising the question of whether the women on the show can go all the way. Particularly in view of the fact that only two women winners have ever emerged in eight seasons of the show."
Nina offered an insight, saying, ”They probably didn’t have game plans and strategies. The last people that left as Heads of House, HOH, were a bit painful. Why? I understand that the other lady’s aunty shouldn’t have been on the show in the first place because she kinda didn’t let her little sister or niece shine.
"But why ask people to vote if their votes won’t count? This is not like our season where we all came blindly without even knowing so much about the show because that was almost the beginning part of Big Brother Naija. This is the 9th season, when you are selected baby, come with your plans and strategies, come with that A-Game and kill the show.”
