Brighton & Hove Albion have stunned the football world by securing the loan services of Barcelona prodigy Ansu Fati.
The Seagulls will have the 20-year-old forward, who is considered one of the top young prospects in the world, on their team until June 2024.
The majority of his wages during his time at the AMEX Stadium will be paid for by Brighton.
Born in Guinea-Bissau, Fati now plays for the Spanish national team. However, he has been injured the past two seasons, limiting his playing time for Barcelona.
This season, he has only played 47 minutes for the Catalan giants and has slid down manager Xavi Hernandez's ranking list.
Fati is one of Barcelona's brightest young stars and has already earned nine caps for Spain.

The emergence of 16-year-old star boy, Lamine Yamal and the depth of Barcelona's attacking skill have pushed him down in the hierarchy, despite his seven goals in 36 league outings for Barca last season.
Despite attention from
Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea, Fati shockingly decided to leave Barcelona and join Brighton in pursuit of regular playing time and a new challenge. Bori, his father, has been encouraging him to go for some time, and he finally caved and moved to Brighton.
The Roberto De Zerbi-led Brighton side that is presently sixth in the Premier League table has been lauded for its attractive and offensive play this season. Fati will be playing with the key players of Brighton including Kaoru Mitoma, Julio Enciso, and Evan Ferguson.

Fati will provide more quality and flair for Brighton's attacking line, where he will fight for playing time with players like Pedro, Simon Adingra, and former United player, Danny Welbeck.
