The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Vice President, Abimbola Olashore, has emphasized the importance of backward integration for the survival of multinationals in Nigeria.
He stated that despite challenges such as exchange rate losses, multinationals can thrive in the Nigerian economy by investing directly in local production of raw materials instead of relying on imports.
Olashore also announced the upcoming Lagos Renewable Energy Fair at the 2024 Information Communication Technology and Telecommunications Expo, urging stakeholders to capitalize on emerging technologies and mitigate associated risks.
The expo, scheduled for July 30 and 31, 2024, will mark the 10th year of the LCCI's tech-driven exhibition event and will showcase industry players in solar products and technologies, as well as provide a platform for discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
