Nigerian stand-up comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, has filed a petition against Agozi Samuel for stirring up controversy and making bold accusations about the comedian.
In a viral video on social media, the man accused AY of having an affair with Yul Edochie's estranged wife, May, and being the root cause of their marital strife.
According to Agozi, AY was allegedly involved in an illicit affair with May outside of his marriage and also had plans to tie the knot with her following the dissolution of her marriage to Yul.
Amidst speculation surrounding Mabel and AY’s alleged marital issues following their decision to unfollow each other, Agozi claimed that AY was not the biological father of his second daughter, who recently celebrated her birthday.
The comedian has now petitioned the Delta State Police Command over the allegations. In the petition dated January 24, AY, through his lawyers, accused Agozi of criminal defamation and cyberstalking and requested his arrest and prosecution.
The petition partly read, “The said publication alleges that our client is involved in an extramarital affair with one May Eodchie, the wife of Yul Eodchie, and that our client was responsible for the marital crisis between May and her husband.”
He further stated that the claim has affected his reputation and his personal life, profession, integrity, and reputation among friends, business acquaintances, and the general public.
AY advised the police to take fast action in investigating and apprehending Agozi Samuel after evidence of defamation and cyberbullying was supplied.
Ayo Makun said in the caption to his post that he had had enough of the falsehoods.
