Asake's song features on the NBA 2025 soundtrack album

The NBA 2K25 season 2 soundtrack album features a collaboration between Nigerian superstar Asake and British rapper Central Cee.

'Wave', one of the tracks from Asake's third album 'Lungu Boy' is one of the songs in the NBA 2K25 soundtrack season 2 album, which features music by American artists such Key Glock and Lil Pete.

Asake is the only Afrobeats act on the album, marking the second consecutive appearance for Afrobeats after Adekunle Gold's 'Party No Dey Stop' with Zinoleesky, which was included in the NBA 2K24 soundtrack album.

Asake joins Adekunle Gold and Burna Boy as Nigerian pop stars who have been featured on the soundtrack album for the blockbuster game, the 2024 edition of which has sold over 9 million sales.

Asake's participation underlines his global superstar status, as he has established himself as one of the most prolific Afrobeat hitmakers. Since entering the mainstream in 2022, Asake has achieved commercial success with a string of chart-topping and record-breaking hit records.

Asake just wrapped off his 'Lungu Boy' tour, which sold out several significant locations, including Madison Square Garden, Toyota Arena, TD Gardens, and Capital One Arena. He also became the third Nigerian artist to headline the O2 Arena.
