In a thrilling encounter featuring six goals in the English Premier League on Sunday, Arsenal solidified their title aspirations by delivering a 5-1 defeat to reigning champions Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's side wasted no time, scoring within just two minutes through their captain, Martin Odegaard.

The Gunners held onto their one-goal advantage into halftime, successfully managing City's intense offensive pressure. However, the second half saw an exciting turn when City’s prolific striker, Erling Haaland, netted an equalizer with a header in the 55th minute.

Following this victory, Arsenal sits second in the EPL table with 50 points, trailing Liverpool by six points, who have a game that is yet to be played. Meanwhile, City sits fourth with 41 points, 15 points adrift of Liverpool.
