Arsenal have finally signed England midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham
Rice was reportedly signed for £105 million ($137.5 million), making his transfer a record-breaking deal that no other British player has attained.
The 24-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners, who are looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Rice said he was "really excited" to join Arsenal and that he was "looking forward to the future" with the club.
"In football, amazing opportunities arise," he said. "Big clubs, like Arsenal, have come for me and it's really hard to turn down."
Rice is confident that Arsenal can challenge for silverware in the coming years.
"With Mikel and how he works, the squad, how young everyone is, the energy around the club and also the challenge of getting Arsenal back to where they belong, that means a lot to me," he said.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said he was "really happy" to have signed Rice.
"He is a player with tremendous ability, who has been performing at a high level in the Premier League and for England for a number of seasons now," Arteta said.
"Declan is bringing undoubted quality to the club and he is an exceptional talent who has the potential to be very successful here."
Rice's arrival is a major coup for Arsenal, who have been looking to strengthen their midfield for some time. He is expected to play a key role in the club's quest to return to the Champions League.
