The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Nasarawa State, Gov. Abdullahi Sule, has been proclaimed the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The declaration was made on Monday in Lafia at the Nasarawa State Collation Center by Prof. Ishaya Tanko, INEC's State Collation Officer and Returning Officer.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate David Ombugadu, who received 283, 016 votes, was the APC candidate's closest rival, according to the INEC returning officer. The APC candidate received a total of 347, 209 votes.
Abdullahi Sule of the APC, having satisfied the legal conditions and garnering the most votes in the election, is hereby pronounced the winner and returned elected, according to the results.
