The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olayide Adelami, has expressed his confidence in the victory of his principal, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in the ongoing primary election of the All Progressives Congress, which Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State is overseeing.
Adelami stated that he has observed strong evidence that the state's people firmly support Aiyedatiwa.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Paul Akindurohe, the deputy governor made these remarks while speaking to reporters shortly after participating in the voting process at his Igboroko 2 Ward 3 in Owo.
"When I arrived here this morning, I did not see anyone supporting other aspirants. However, I was not surprised because our people in Owo have consistently shown their dedication to the Aiyedatiwa project for a long time."
“You can see the crowd of people behind Aiyedatiwa’s stand. It shows Owo people are a hundred per cent behind him and this is the same positive news across the state” the deputy governor remarked.
He expressed gratitude to the All Progressives Congress members in Owo for coming out en masse to vote for his principal, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in Saturday’s primary election across the state.
Adelami also commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies, and party faithful for the peaceful conduct of the APC primary election in the wards visited.
