Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on bringing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku to Napoli following the potential departure of Victor Osimhen from the Serie A club this summer.
Conte is expected to become Napoli's new manager this summer, succeeding Francesco Calzona, and has identified Lukaku as a prime target for reinforcement.
According to Corriere Della Sera, Napoli is preparing for the potential exit of Osimhen and has initiated the search for his replacement.
The club is banking on Osimhen's €130 million release clause being triggered, with Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea considered likely suitors for the Nigerian striker.
Conte, who previously coached Lukaku at Inter Milan, where they won the Serie A title together, has expressed his interest in bringing the Belgian international to Napoli.
Lukaku, who spent the 2023/24 season on loan at AS Roma, reportedly has a £37 million verbal release clause and is not inclined to return to Chelsea.
During their time together at Inter Milan, Lukaku thrived under Conte's management, scoring 64 goals in 95 appearances, which could make a reunion at Napoli an enticing prospect for both player and manager.
