After defeating Jermain Franklin, Anthony Joshua is expected to face Tyson Fury at heavyweight, so he has hinted at a major summer fight.
The British boxer wrote, "Just me and my mate Abz" beneath a picture of himself in a sauna.
"Light 12 rounds, cardio, recovery day, 12 weeks I go again," and checked each item off. "All glory to God," the post read.
On Saturday, the 33-year-old returned to the cage and won by unanimous decision over Jermaine Franklin. The judges gave the fight scores of 118-111, 117-111, and 117-111.
Following the cancellation of his scheduled fight against the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk for next month due to money issues, a matchup with Fury is now being promoted.
Joshua himself called out Fury after his victory on Saturday night, telling broadcasters that the two were not growing "younger" and that the choice is now in his hands.
"I am aware of who the fans desire." The game is now in Tyson Fury's hands," he said. I would consider it an honor to compete for the WBC Heavyweight World Championship, he declared. "Let's continue this, If he's hearing, he knows my promoter; we've spoken before. We are not getting younger."
