Elanga joins Forest in quest for Premier League glory
In recent football transfer news, former Manchester United player Anthony David Junior Elanga, popularly called Anthony Elanga has made a switch to Nottingham Forest. After spending two years at Old Trafford, the Swedish international has signed a permanent contract with the Championship side for a reported £15 million fee.

Elanga's earlier years in Manchester United
Elanga joined United’s academy in 2014 and made his first-team debut in 2021. As one of the most promising young talents in English football, Anthony Elanga rose through the ranks at Manchester United before making his senior debut in 2020. He went on to make 35 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.

Despite limited playing time under former Manchester United Coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjær last season, the versatile attacker showed flashes of brilliance that earned him a spot in the starting lineup during pre-season fixtures ahead of the current campaign.
Other clubs Forest beat to secure Elanga
With his future uncertain at United, several clubs expressed interest in acquiring the services of the 21-year-old Swede. Among them were fellow Premier League sides Arsenal, Bournemouth, and Watford, as well as newly promoted Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin. Ultimately, it was Nottingham Forest who secured the signature of the highly rated youngster, who had long been linked with a potential move to the City Ground.
With the backing of manager Chris Coleman and sporting director Frank McParland, Nottingham Forest have high hopes for their latest acquisition. As he settles into life at the City Ground, we can expect Elanga to bring pace, creativity, and an eye for goal to the team.
Farewell to Manchester United
The 21-year-old winger posted a message on social media, saying that he was “grateful” for the support he had received at Old Trafford.
“There are not enough words to properly thank you for the unbelievable support you have shown me since I joined the club,” Elanga wrote. “I will never forget scoring my first goal at Old Trafford, or the way you all welcomed me into your family.
“I have learned so much during my time here, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have played in the Premier League and Champions League. I wish you all the best for the future.”

Elanga's Promise with Forest
Forest have been promoted to the Premier League after winning the Championship last season. They have been busy in the transfer market this summer, signing several players, including Elanga.
Elanga will be hoping to make an impact in the Premier League with his new club. He is a talented player with a bright future ahead of him.
