Luxury travel takes on a new dimension as Triton Submarines delivers its first Triton 660/9 AVA to Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, ushering in a new era of underwater escapades.
Recall that a submarine, OceanGate on June 22, 2023, sunk a British billionaire explorer, Hamish Harding, UK citizen Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman Dawood, French national Paul-Henri Nargeolet and OceanGate Expeditions chief executive Stockton Rush.
According to Fox News, the Triton 660/9 AVA which is capable of diving to depths of 656 feet, accommodates up to eight adults or a combination of six adults and four children.
The Triton vessel is operated by a single pilot, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for all on board.
"This is not just a submarine; it's an experience," a representative from Triton Submarines told FoxNews. "From cocktail bars to casinos, it's a luxury haven beneath the waves."
The Triton is designed to maximize views, the Triton 660/9 AVA offers passengers an unparalleled panoramic experience, reminiscent of an IMAX theatre but submerged in the mesmerizing blue of the ocean.
Like the Triton 660/9 AVA, OceanGate also went on a luxury underwater exploration of about 1,600ft from the bow of the Titanic wreck before its unfortunate accident.
However, Triton differs from OceanGate as it measures up to 9.02 feet in length, 14.8 feet in width, and 7.55 feet in height, with a weight of 24,250 pounds, the Triton 660/9 AVA boasts a spacious interior, equipped with leather finishes, mood lighting, and advanced systems for passenger comfort and safety.
Powered by a 57 kWh main battery capacity, the Triton features state-of-the-art thrusters and manoeuvring systems, controlled via joystick, touchscreen, or manual override.
"Illumination is provided by more than eight external lights, ensuring clear views of the ocean's wonders," adds the representative.
The Triton 660/9 AVA has made its debut aboard the Scenic Eclipse II, currently navigating Australian waters. Guests aboard the Scenic Eclipse II can now embark on underwater adventures, exploring the depths of the Great Barrier Reef and beyond.
"The Triton 660/9 AVA is not just a mode of transportation; it's a destination in itself," says Kurt, a luxury travel expert.
"It marks a significant milestone in luxury travel, offering passengers an unforgettable journey into the unknown depths of the ocean."
As luxury travel continues to evolve, the Triton 660/9 AVA represents a bold step forward, blurring the lines between journey and destination, and paving the way for the next great adventure in high-end tourism.
