Juliet Unigwe, the mother and manager of young Nollywood sensation Angel Unigwe, has issued a scathing statement in response to Nollywood veteran Kanayo O Kanayo's heated charges of contract breach and threats.
Kanayo O. Kanayo recently expressed frustration with Angel Unigwe and her mother. In a video he posted online, the experienced actor described how Angel, with her mother's help, reportedly breached their contract by departing his set early.
The actor announced his desire to blacklist the young girl and threatened to ruin any film set where she appears.
In reaction to the claims, Angel Unigwe's mother flatly denied the false accusations and defamatory remarks made by Mr. Kanayo in his video.
She highlighted their unflinching regard for the terms of each contract they sign, as well as their commitment to meeting all legal duties.
She denounced the behavior as cyberbullying and gender-based harassment, which were especially difficult for her considering her longstanding admiration for Kanayo and great regard for him.
Juliet Unigwe closed her passionate address by announcing their intention to seek more legal action to guarantee accountability and justice in this scenario, emphasizing their refusal to be intimidated.
She requested all relevant security authorities and groups to intervene and safeguard Miss Unigwe and herself from any potential threats from Kanayo.
