Following an unidentified health issue, Fifth season of "America's Got Talent"winner, Michael Grimm is under anesthesia and in intensive care.
He has reportedly been hospitalized since Memorial Day and is still unconscious, despite being able to breathe on his own once more, according to his wife Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm.
"Michael had not been feeling well for a long, had lost energy, and had difficulty finishing his recent performances," according to his wife, who also said that the cause of the problem is unclear.
Last month, when he started becoming more ill, things came to a head. Michael's wife claims that he was unable to even lift his head and could hardly walk when she rushed him to the emergency department, where things only grew worse.
"When Michael arrived at the ER, his blood pressure shot through the roof, and he began speaking in gibberish. As a result, he was sent to the ICU, where he is still today.
"Michael was given sedation and put on a ventilator." According to his wife, he was only recently taken off the ventilator. The majority of the singer's forthcoming performances this month, according to his wife, have been postponed. She said that because the artist has been bedridden for more than a week, he will also need to undergo physical therapy.
Lucie said that because of his time on a ventilator, Michael currently has no voice and has to have his vocal chords repaired. Despite the severe circumstances, Michael's wife urges supporters not to be alarmed because he has excellent physicians.
