Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin has completed his move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli in a deal worth £32m.
Allan Saint-Maximin, the 26-year-old French international has signed a four-year contract with the Riyadh-based club, which will keep him there until June 2026.
Saint-Maximin joined Newcastle from Nice in 2019 for a club-record fee of £20m.
Allan Saint-Maximin has scored one goal for Newcastle United in the 2022/2023 season of Premier League so far. Since joining Newcastle in 2019, he has scored a total of 13 goals in 124 appearances in all competitions.
He was a fan favorite at Newcastle, known for his dribbling skills and ability to create chances for his teammates. However, he had fallen out of favor with manager Eddie Howe in recent months and was not a regular starter in the second half of the 2022-23 season.
Saint-Maximin has played 271 professional games, scored 28 goals, and provided 40 assists. He has played for several clubs, including Nice, Monaco, Hannover 96, and Newcastle United. Saint-Maximin has been a key player for Newcastle United since joining the club in 2019, providing pace and creativity in the attacking third.
Al Ahli are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having won the league title 16 times. They are also the current holders of the King's Cup.
Saint-Maximin's arrival is a major coup for the club, and he will be expected to help them challenge for more trophies in the coming seasons.
The official unveiling of Saint-Maximin is expected to happen soon after the unveiling of Riyad Mahrez, who was recently purchased by the club.
