The movie 'Rust', co-produced by Alec Baldwin, will premiere next month at Poland's EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Cinematography Film Festival in Toruń.
This comes three years after the horrific shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. A bullet from a loaded prop gun killed her on site.
The inaugural event will also include a special panel commemorating Hutchins' life.
Director Joel Souza, who was injured in the 2021 set accident, will lead the panel.
He will be joined by cinematographer Bianca Cline, who helped finish the picture, and Stephen Lighthill, one of Halyna's film school mentors.
Baldwin will reportedly not attend the 'Rust' premiere. The rest of the cast's attendance is still uncertain.
In October 2021, production was suspended after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot when a gun being used as a prop was fired by Baldwin during the preparation for a scene; Souza was injured by the same round.
A number of lawsuits were filed and eventually manslaughter charges were filed against Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.
Filming finally restarted in April 2023 and was completed soon after. Gutierrez-Reed was ultimately found guilty but Baldwin was acquitted.
The trial took an unexpected turn in July when it was dismissed after it was revealed that prosecutors concealed important live ammunition evidence from Baldwin's defence team.
Meanwhile, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the 'Rust' armorer, is serving an 18-month prison sentence after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
