At Murtala Muhammed Airport terminal two in the Ikeja district of Lagos State on Wednesday, a United Nigeria Airlines plane veered off runway 18L.
According to reports, the plane that arrived from the Ebonyi Airport in the state's Abakaliki region carried no fewer than 50 passengers.
According to a report by Daily Trust, the airline's Head of Corporate Communications, Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, the aircraft landed safely but had to stop moving to the apron off the runway.

"All passengers safely exited and were brought to the arrival hall with their bags," he said.
"Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria officials are present at the scene of the accident, working with UNA engineers to transport the aircraft to the hangar.
"The AIB and the NCAA have both been properly alerted and are on the scene. United Nigeria is working closely with the government."
In comforting the public, the airline stated that it consistently adhered to the strictest safety requirements in its operations and will continue to put passengers' safety first at all times.
