AIICO, an insurance company, has announced that it was the primary sponsor for the 2024 NCRIB CEOs’ Retreat which took place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The retreat, centered around the theme ‘Building Institutions that Survive Their Promoters,’ emphasized sustainability and concluded on Saturday.
The company stated, "This sponsorship demonstrates AIICO’s commitment to promoting professional development and service excellence."
During his opening speech, Mr. Adewale Kadri, Executive Director of AIICO Insurance, praised insurance brokers for their hard work and professionalism.
He appreciated them for partnering with the key industry players, which continued to yield positive results.
The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Umo Eno, who was the special guest of honour, represented by the state’s Commissioner for Economic Development, Mr Bob Emem, stressed the need for collaborative efforts between the insurance industry and the public sector to harness the inherent potential for value creation.
He promised to make recommendations to the state government on possible areas of cooperation between the state and the industry.
The NCRIB serves as the overarching organization for licensed and authorized individuals in the insurance brokerage industry, acknowledged globally as intermediaries in the insurance sector.
