ABUJA- The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7 Abuja, Benedict C. Igwe, has refuted a report from the social media platform "DCL Hausa" stating that police heard gunfire in Wazirin Hausawan Abuja's home, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Kamba, at Wuse Zone 2.
Speaking on behalf of AIG Benedict C. Igwe, DSP M.B. Abdul, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the report was unrelated to the Nigeria Police Force.
Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Kamba, the Waziri Hausawa Abuja, responded to the article by claiming that it was based on gunshots against him because of a land deal that the "DCL Hausa" social media platform was unable to purchase from him.
Kamba claimed that certain dishonest people tried to assassinate him while he was traveling through Abuja and brought the bullets to his home in Wuse Zone 2 to damage his reputation.
He added that there were witnesses to the aforementioned dishonest individuals entering his home in Wuse Zone 2 and firing into a tenant's room, stating that he has no business with anybody retaining or transporting the bullets to his residence.
“I am very happy to put across to the general public that AIG Zone 7 Abuja has already spoken on the issue, and that I will not take the law into my hands”, the Wazirin Hausawan Abuja said.
