The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has urged Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president, to assemble a group of experts and thinkers to develop a strategy for Nigeria's economic recovery.
In a congratulatory letter to Tinubu which was penned by his director of media and publicity, Moses Olafare, the royal father made the call.
Ooni said, “You must immediately assemble a transition team of cerebral men and women to come up with an economic recovery blueprint upon your inauguration on May 29."
"You must act quickly from your first day in office to get things moving in a way that will further assure Nigerians of the renewed hope. Nigerians voted for you because you promised them a renewed hope.
On Wednesday morning, Tinubu was declared the winner of the presidential election held on February 25.
He defeated the main opposition candidates, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi and New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP’s Rabiu Kwankwaso.
On Wednesday in Abuja, the former governor of Lagos State got his Certificate of Return.
