Agege Sports Club, a family-friendly multi-sports organization committed to promoting the health and well-being of its members, is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a series of special events.
According to the club’s Public Relations Officer, Remi Aboderin, this milestone provides an opportunity to honor the vision of the Board of Trustees, the dedication of the Executive Committee, and the support of members at home and abroad.
"We have consistently upheld our vision and mission of promoting wellness through sports by providing opportunities for people to participate in physical activities and encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle," Aboderin stated.
The President of the Club, Stanley Adiele, expressed delight in seeing individuals from diverse backgrounds coming together to form a strong bond of unity.
Adiele added, "This club is made up of friends who either grew up in Agege, lived in the area for many years, or who chose to associate themselves with their friends who are members of the club."
It is evident that the club welcomes responsible men and women who are passionate about sports and healthy living, as reflected in our slogan, 'Wellness Through Sports.'
The club's Saturday Sports clinic, which includes aerobics, football, basketball, lawn tennis, and table tennis sessions, has become a popular attraction for sports and fitness enthusiasts of all ages.
Planned activities for the 10th anniversary celebrations include a fitness walk, a health seminar at the Vetland Junior Grammar School in the host community, and visits to orphanages.
The week-long event will culminate on October 26 with an anniversary luncheon to honor members, friends, and well-wishers. The occasion will also serve as a fundraiser for the development of a new facility.
