Actor Junior Pope Dies After Drowning While Filming

Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo is reportedly dead.

His passing was announced on Wednesday, April 10, by filmmaker Sam Olatunji, who noted that the actor died with three others after their boat capsized.

It was reported that the movie actor drowned while filming in an unidentified location. His death was shockingly announced just hours after he uploaded a video of himself on a boat to Instagram.

Sam posted a picture of Junior Pope with the caption below:  Four actors including Jnr Pope fell into Anam River on their way to a location and their bodies have been recovered. What a sad day for Nollywood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Multiple sources confirm this sad development to us."

Nigerians were shocked by the news and flocked social media to express their sorrow.

The actor is known to show off his wife and children and he puts in effort to interpret his movie roles. Aside from being a movie star, Junior Pope is also involved in skit-making and he gets the attention of his fans with his videos. He was aged 39.
