The Action Alliance (AA) has dropped its petition objecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu winning the presidential election.
At the pre-hearing meeting of the presidential election tribunal on Monday, the party declared their withdrawal.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Oba Maduabuchi is in charge of the party's legal defense team.
None of the representatives of the other parties voiced disagreement to the Action Alliance's decision to withdraw the petition after the announcement.
Another attorney had introduced himself as the AA representative before the withdrawal was announced.
The party, he claimed, wants the petition dismissed because it didn't agree to the action.
However, Maduabuchi asserted that he had filed the petition on the first and second petitioners' behalf.
The party's petition was then formally requested to be withdrawn by Maduabuchi.
