Ralph Opara, Group Head of the Commercial Banking Division at Access Bank, emphasized this during the 2024 Medic West Africa Event, organized by ABCHealth in collaboration with Informa Markets.
The event focused on "Healthcare Investments in Africa: Mobilizing the Private Sector to Drive Healthcare Investments in Africa".
Opara stressed the importance of the private sector's involvement in the health sector, stating that the government alone cannot bear the burden. He highlighted the need for innovative financing models and strategic partnerships to bridge the healthcare investment gap.
He also emphasized the significance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving innovation, improving healthcare accessibility, and ensuring sustainable development across the continent.
