A popular Nigerian singer and multiple award winner, Innocent Idibia, known as "2Baba," alongside Edo State politician Natasha Osawaru, is set to hold their traditional wedding on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.
Their relationship became known after 2Baba announced his split from his ex-wife, Annie Macaulay, which ended their 10-year marriage.
The announcement was made on Thursday, just four months after the couple parted ways due to unresolved marital issues that had drawn the involvement of various musicians and Nollywood personalities.
Following the divorce, 2Baba has presented Natasha to his hometown and Idoma traditional leaders as a significant move to validate their relationship, while Annie Macaulay has started attending public events again, participating in parties and other social gatherings that she had previously shunned during the turmoil.
Natasha Osawaru, born on November 14, 1994, is affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party and serves as the representative for the Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly.
She is also the granddaughter of Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of the Kingdom of Benin.
The upcoming traditional wedding has attracted considerable attention, signaling a new phase in both 2Baba's personal journey and the landscape of Nigerian entertainment.
