According to reports, Lotanna Azuokeke, a 15-year-old student at Bishop Otubelu Juniorate in Trans Ekulu, Enugu, got 99 in mathematics in the just completed Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Azuokeke, a native of ba in the Idemmili South LGA of Anambra State, scored a total of 337 marks in the exam, including 88 in chemistry, 86 in physics, and 64 in English, according to Dr. Chiwuike Uba, media adviser to the bishop of the Diocese of Nike (Anglican Communion), the school's founder.
The statement said;
"Azokeke beat the record set by Chidera Obi five years ago, who earned 329 points to emerge as the overall best.
"Report reveals that Azuokeke applied to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, to study electrical/electronic engineering."
