On Thursday, the Labour Party Youth Wing vowed to win control of Lagos, Rivers, and Edo States as well as other South-South and South-East states in the March 18 elections for governor and houses of assembly.
At a press conference to announce the March 18 elections, Kennedy Ahanotu, the acting national youth leader for the Labour Party, made this statement.
He declared, "Across the nation, the elections for governor and state houses of assembly will provide us another chance to identify true "obidients."
He stressed the significance of keeping in mind that the Labour Party is independent of all other parties and supports each of its candidates in the election.
"In the most recent election, they claimed that we were just four persons tweeting in a room, but to their surprise, we quickly took over the area, and despite all the fraud, they gave us over six million votes even though they maintain that Obidients only number about 15 million voters with PVCs.
"We must demonstrate by turning out in large numbers to vote for the governorship and House of Assembly candidates of the Labour Party.
The first step in letting the world know that the Labour Party won the election is this straightforward job.
"Let's demonstrate to the opposition our will to take back our nation. In fact, we will conquer all of the South-South and South-East states if we can take control of Lagos, Edo, Plateau, Benue, Taraba, Rivers, Abia, and Anambra.
Ahanotu asked "Obidients" to oppose the status quo and cautioned youngsters, law enforcement officers, and INEC employees to stop serving as ready instruments for politicians.
"Don't participate in intimidating and oppressing our youth. Nigerian youths' lives and futures are important. He said, "Enough is Enough".
On election day, Ahanotu asked Obidients to put aside their personal ambitions and concentrate on making political comments.
